CargoPro-Container: sales and delivery
of containers
Continuous growth of maritime traffic
results in increased requirement for shipping containers, which causes
growth in demand for new and second-hand containers.
There are numerous aspects to the purchasing, selling, repairing and
delivering of shipping containers that are subject to process management
and financial accounting. The performance of virtually any operation
implies the execution of documents and recording of financial operations.
All of the above requires streamlined accounting. Apart from operational
accounting, searching for detailed data concerning a commercial operation
or container shipment performed several months before becomes a real
nuisance.
CargoPro-Container software was developed to allow the efficiency of
operations and the financial accounting thereof in the process of selling
and transportation of shipping containers to be increased. The time
period between the employee’s receiving a request for a container to the
completion of the sales operation is also minimised. Real-time evaluation
of the income from a particular operation and of the general economic
situation of the enterprise alike can be obtained within seconds. A
container depot using CargoPro-Container will have the entire picture of
the works being performed, including the itemization of repair works and
the maintenance of containers.
The general registry of the containers managed by means of the software
allows the real-time status and archive data of each container to be
viewed. Container status profiles, for example, “at depot”, “on the way”,
“under repair”, etc., allow the monitoring of the movements of
containers. User-friendly filters provide a comprehensive overview,
sorting by any parameter, including such options as a fragment of the
container number or the date of delivery. The reselling of a container
will after a certain period be visible in the history of sales. In case
of further repairs of the same container at the container depot,
CargoPro-Container will give a full picture of the works performed on it
earlier and those that are being performed at the moment.
For the purpose of fast and efficient performance of commercial
operations, an application has been developed for mobile access to data
by means of a smartphone with approximate screen resolution of 2560Õ1440.
This access allows real-time information about the availability of
containers as well as their locations to be obtained and a sales invoice
to be issued.
Economic data, namely, all incoming and issued invoices, can be
structured and displayed in a user-friendly way, grouped by containers or
by projects. Contracts can be drafted and invoices can be issued for one
container or a group in several clicks. Container storage estimation will
help forecast future expenses. Multi-currency settlements are simple due
to the automatic import of currency rates from the ECB web page.
The interface of the software can be
provided in any language depending on the customer’s preferences
(Estonian, Russian, English, Latvian, etc.).
